Explain why you remember this person well
When I was in elementary school, I had a friend called Nick. We were in the same class and we lived in neighbouring blocks, we usually went home together after school. I think making friends is easy and natural when people are young, you can’t stop becoming friends with the person you walk home together everyday. There was a kindergarten on our way home, where there were facilities for children, like slides, seesaws, swings and other kinds of stuff. We liked playing there, but we were not allowed to. Because, you know, they were exclusively for the children of that kindergarten and were locked inside the front door. So basically, we squeezed ourselves through the bars of the front door into the playground. We had lot of fun there. We used to be nearly caught several times——the door keeper suddenly appeared. Nick ran much faster than me, but he waited for me every time. Nick had a really poor family, his parents were doing garbage collecting, which was one of the most indecent job back then. Nick But he was a decent and kind person, with really positive and healthy personality. He used to collect plastic bottles and waste paper for his parents in our class, and he took the responsibility of classroom cleaning for that. My classmates liked and respected him, although at the very beginning they looked down upon him because of his poverty. However, he earned others' respect by his friendly and helpful personality and his maturity——he was much more mature than us. As a friend, he influenced me a lot; until these days when we have lost touch for years, I constantly think of him. He taught me that when you start with a disadvantaged situation, you always have the chance to be a great person.
