Last summer I went North Europe for holiday, and I believe that if I ever have the chance tolive wherever I want, it must be somewhere within Scandinavia. I stayed in both urban area and countryside and basically I almost fell in love with every place I went to. Cities were both historical and modern. With loads of classic architecture around—— palaces, churches, bridges—— the bridge in front of the Stockholm Royal Palace with golden crowns was amazing, however, I didn’t feel the cities were old-fashioned at all; because there were all sorts of modern facilities to make life easier and,FREE WIFI! And it was fast! The countryside, however, was peace and natural.Age-old trees, delicate wooden houses painted in different colors, clear lakes and rivers—— I sat along a river in a small village near Helsinki for three hours, doing nothing, didn’t feel a little bit of boring. Besides, I like the climate there, although it was mid-summer, the temperature was scarcely above 30. Since I hold a strong dislike to hot weather, the climate there suits me the best. Also, the people there were friendly and willing to help. Since I was travelling along and I have a very poor sense of direction, I lost my way several times. All of the strangers I asked for help showed me the direction in detail, and most of them led me to my destination. There was this bus driver,who was too busy to tell me the way to the stop of another bus, just let me hop on his bus and drive me there for free. And there was the drunken guy, who was just out of a bar with his friends, led me to my hostel although he had meant to go a different direction. So, I love the weather and people there, although the food there was…you know, I can always cook by myself, it is the perfect place where I can settle down and start a life.

去年夏天假期我去了北欧，我相信如果我有机会选择住在任何地方，那一定回事斯堪的纳维亚半岛。城市和乡村我都去了，基本上来说我几乎爱上了每一个我去过的地方。城市是又古老又现代的。大片的古典建筑在周围——宫殿，教堂，桥梁，斯德哥尔摩皇宫前面的有金色皇冠的桥美爆了，然而我却一点不觉得那些城市很过时；因为有各种各样让生活更简单的设施，还有，免费WIFI！而且还很快！但是乡村呢，是平和自然的。古老的树木，刷成各种颜色的精致的小木屋，清澈的湖水和河流——我在赫尔辛基附近的一坐小村庄的河边做了三个小时，什么都不做，一点都不无聊。而且，我喜欢那里的气候，虽然是盛夏，温度很少超过三十度。因为我很讨厌热天气，那里的气候最适合我了。而且，那里的人都很友善，乐于助人。因为我是独子旅行而且我的方向感很差，我好几次都迷路了。所有我请求帮助的陌生人都详细地给我指路，大部分都带我到了我的目的地。有一个巴士司机，他太忙了所以没时间告诉我另一辆巴士的站在哪里，就直接让我跳上车然后免费送我过去了。还有一个喝醉的小伙子，刚和他的朋友从酒吧出来，带我去了我的青旅即便他本来要去另一个方向。因此，我喜欢那里的天气和人，虽然那里的吃的……你懂得，我反正可以自己做饭，对于我来说那是最好的定居下来，开始生活的地方。
