如何回答

Lateness and being on time

  1. 1.       Do you think it’s important to be punctual?

No, not really. To the opposite, I hate lateness. Because I lost my first internship opportunity for being late. Since then, I’ve decided to always arrive 15 minutes early no matter what to do. Now, I’m characterized to be punctual by my friends. Apparently, I feel quite happy with it.

  1. 2.       How important is it?

Sure. It’s awfully important. There are too many reasons. Being punctual shows you are dependable. A person who can organize his time can also handle things smoothly. Besides, being punctual shows your respect for others. Being late is a selfish act, for it puts your needs above another’s. A punctual person always deserves other’s respect for being reliable. To ourselves, being punctual can increase the satisfaction of self-mastery, sense of confidence and control of life.

Lauguage

  1. 1.       Do you think it’s difficult to learn a foreign language/English?

Compared to learning Chinese, I’m afraid studying English is less challenging from both lexical and grammatical aspects. However, phonetically speaking, English is kind of tough, because some pronunciations like the letter r, l need repeated exercise.

English was difficult to learn years ago, because we were lack of materials and environment to use it. When I began to learn English, all I had was some text books, new concept English and several tapes. Today, it’s quite different, we can watch TV series updated in time, enjoy western blockbusters, read the original English books and make friends with English native speakers in the campus.

  1. 2.       Can you speak any other language expect English?

Frankly, no. English is the only second language I study.

  1. 3.       What do you do for learning a second language?

To learn English, I make friends with people having good English level and chat with them now and then; I’ve also booked several magazines with English version so that I could study English at the same time to know some interesting western cultures; Meanwhile, I like to follow the updating of English TV plays. But when I watch them, I like to hide the subtitles to exercise listening.

Animal

  1. 1.       What’s your favorite animal?

My favorite animal is the dog. Dogs are smart, loyal and reliable as the domestic pet. It’s said dogs have an inborn tendency to want to please humans. A dog often pays an amazing amount of attention to his owner, reading his body language, moods, words and habits in order to please him. Dogs sometimes are just like babies. However, they are less demanding to take care of.

  1. 2.       Do you keep a pet?

  2. 3.       Do people in your country like to keep pets? What kind of pets?

Yes. According to a latest report, nearly two fifths of Chinese families have pets. The most popular pets are dogs, cats, parrots and tropical fish. Some young guys also keep bizarre animals like lizards, tortoises and snakes.

  1. 4.       Do you often go to the zoo?

No. I go to the zoo very occasionally unless I have to accompany with others. In my view, caved animals are quite pathetic. They mostly have lost the vividness of living in the nature. However, a zoo is always a paradise for children.

  1. 5.       What’s the benefits for children to go to the zoo?

There are many benefits I can point out. Firstly, in the zoo, children can see animals from faraway lands that they might not be able to travel to and even if they do get a chance to travel to those lands it is not assured to see the animals; Secondly, they can learn lots of things including to see those animals’ behaviors in person, to interact with some specific animals and draw pictures for them. Lastly, visiting a zoo can also inspire children’s imagination as well as the desire of protecting the nature.
