 Beach VolleyballCompetition in China 

Beach volleyball is one of the most fascinating and challenging outdoor activities around the world. Every August, the Chinese Beach Volleyball Competition is held in the beautiful coastal city, Qingdao, located in the East of China. Approximately 30 teams have to stand against not only their opponents, but also have to face many difficulties such as the sand, the tough sun and the wind. Eventually, one teamwill stand out from the crowd and earn the trophy.

Over recent years, beach volleyball is getting more popular than before and some of the outstanding players enjoy tremendous popularity. Gradually, they made a big name fort hemselves and become celebrities. Speaking of the fundamental rules, two teamsof two players on a sand court are divided by a net.The goal of the game is to sendthe ball over the net in order to ground it on the opponent's court, and to prevent the same effort by the opponent. What is more? A team is allowed up to three touches to return the ball.

Invited by one of my mates, I went there watching the game last August. It was so hot that I just could notstop sweating. Nonetheless, I could see the excitement on the audiences’ faces despite the unpleasant temperature. The relaxing atmosphere made me feel as if I was watching a game in my backyard, but sometimes I had to hold my breath and wait for the ultimate winner. Anyway, it is an unforgettable experience for me.

Beach volleyball is a fabulous sport and I hope that more people will have the chance to learn more about it.
