A cultural event

I'd like to talk about Dragon Boat Festival. Every year on lunar May 5th, people eat Zongzi, a pyramid-shaped rice dumpling, and hold dragon boat racing to memorize and show respect to Quyuan, the great patriotic poet.(什么文化活动，时间） It's both a national and local event. We have an official 3-day holiday for the festival. On that very day, people will hold boat racing competitions. Living by hte riverside, I go to such kind of event every year. And so do other local people, some of whom might even participate in the boat racing. The dragon boat looks like racing boat in Europe, but hte head of the boat is made into the shape pf a dragon's head. During the race, dozens of the boats rush towards the finishing line and the sound of the drums is so loud that the whole scene is very sensational. Nowadays a lot of foreign racers can be seen, taking part in this traditional game with us Chinese.（各地活动） It's a very happy event, with countless people watching and cheering. Everyone is excited and thrilled. （吸引什么人）I like this event very much. It combines sports with the traditional Chinese history. I think it's a precious legacy that our ancestors left us. （评价）

我想讲一下端午节。每年阴历五月初五，人们会吃粽子，这是一种金字塔形状的包着米的食物，并且还会赛龙舟来纪念伟大的爱国诗人屈原以示对他的尊重。这既是国家大事，也是当地人们的大事。在这个节日里我们有三天法定假日。在那一天，人们会举行划船比赛。因为我住的离河很近，所以每年都要去看这种赛事。龙舟看起来像是欧洲的赛艇，但是它的前半部分形似龙头。在竟赛中，几十条船奋力冲向重点，锣鼓声震耳欲聋，整个场面蔚为壮观。现在可以看到许多外国参赛者，他们和我们一起参加这个中国传统的比赛项目。这是令人兴奋的赛事，有无数的人观看助威。每个人都很激动，兴奋。我很喜欢这个赛事。它把体育和中国的历史连接起来。我认为这是古人留给我们的一份珍贵的遗产。
