大部分跟家人过，举办一个小型家庭聚会同时也是生日party，偶尔与同学过，去游乐场，吃大餐，唱歌，做游戏。
I celebrate my birthdays mostly with my family. We usually get together and have a small party.Sometimes I also celebrate with my classmates. We would go to a theme park, have dinner together, go to a KTV or just play some games.

It depends. Young people are more western-like when it comes to birthdays. They go to bars, go on tripsor throw parties. Senior people, on the other hand, take birthdays more seriously. The whole family would get together to celebrate. Friends and neighbors are also invited. There is always a big, big birthday cake. Sometimes there even is a band playing and the whole celebration is recorded on a video.

It really depends.Personally speaking, to people whom I know quite well, I would give presentsthey have mentioned so far, things they like, need or want to have; to people whom I do not know well, I would go for flowers, chocolate and things like that, birthday cake is also a safe choice.
I liked all the presents Ihave received. Some presents may not appear to be very useful, but they are asymbol of friendship and love, so I cherish them all.

Birthday to me now is much less important than it used to be. I loved birthdays when Iwas a kid because that day was the day my parents said yes to all my wishes,the day I could make a mess of the house and get away with it. Now I can doboth every day. Well, all jokes aside, as people get busier and busier, theytend to forget things, including their best friend’s, mom’s or even their own birthdays. As much as I can understand why it is happening, I’m still touched by the beep on my phone on my birthday, with a text showing up, simply saying“happy birthday”.

I would say the 60th birthday is the most important one. It is important for two reasons. Firstly, it is a watershed between middle-age andold-age. One is counted as a senior citizen after sixty according to law. Secondly,six is one of the lucky numbers in China. People would pay more for a phone number with more sixes in it, let alone having lived for sixty years. If one is lucky enough, the 80th, 100thbirthdays are also very big deals.
